instead of doing that (unless you want to), you can buy adaptors that simply change the pattern....the only problem is that they stick out a good inch and a half, so it may not work depending on the offset of your rims...im having the same problem. i wanna swap 4x110 to 4x114.3, but im worried that my wheels will rub on the fender since they'll stick out a little more than they should.

well, u can get the cp big brake kit. it converts the front brakes into the fc's and also changes the bolt pattern. the only thing is that u need the 84-85 front spindles. also i think you need adapters for the rear to use the same bolt pattern.

well, if u intend to keep 4x110, the only wheels u can get that i would recommend are the...early fb gsl wheels. they are enkie mesh, 15x7 front 15x8 rear i think???? im not sure but they look pretty cool and are a nice width. its 15 or 16 not sure, but ive only seen them for sale staggerd, but good luck finding those

on the other hand for 4x110, they have the kosei k1. this are skinny 6 spokes that look awsome and are 15x7.

i think they're on tire rack.

Nick is correct, the bolt pattern that is different on our fb;s is the se which is the 4x114.3 pattern, the rest are all 4x110mm. Did you install the trans yet? By the way i also have a 82 gsl complete rearend. rx7doctor

You are lucky right now, you have an opportunity to bring back some neat stuff back, why don't you fill out a requisiton request for about 20, 20b turbo motors and have the supply sargent push it thru. You can tell him its for the new advanced generator motors for the mobile communication command centers, lol.

If he pulls that off, I'm buying 2. And one will go into the FB. How badass. Maybe we should tell him to pick up a couple of 26B's as well.

Just curious, but running the adapters, is there any disadvantage other than it sticking out? can they fail, or can do they weaken any points in the drivetrain?

thx

The adapters when supplied by the right place such as david has posted will cause zero problems with your drivetrain or with any other portion of your suspension. Getting the correct offset for the wheel you are going to use and discussing the proper width of the spacer with the maker or others you have used them will prevent the sticking out problem. rx7doctor
