I used search feature but need Mindtrain header

Need to find out a website selling the Mindtrain header for a 12A engine. I live in another country and the only place listed here can only be ordered thru phone or mailorder, don't want to waste $ on long distance phone calls or wait for mail.

I need email or online shopping please.

Thanks

I read you can run a much lighter setup instead of running two heavy pipes with presilencers, also it's thicker and to me from the pictures looks like it flows better than the racing beat. All those reasons make me want to belive that the extra money is well worth the price. I'm not going for looks nor brand name...I'm going for the end result, power.

racing beat does have exhausts that are not dual.. they make one that collects at the end of the headers, and then is a single pipe all the way back..

but i agree with you, end results is what to look for. and i am happy with the rb exhaust that i have (i do have the dual exhaust). my only complaint with it is how low the presilencers hang..

FD thanks.

Can anybody tell me the one I have to buy from the RX-7 Store?

it's for a 1985 12A GSL. I want the best one...no emissions or anything I don't know about the stages or what they mean.

this is the one I want. It's model MT0023

in www.rotaryperformance.com

I was looking in the www.rx7store.net the headers and they list the following:

Stage V Street Legal Header for 81-83 RX-7 $179.00

Stage IV Street Header for 81-85 RX-7 $159.00

what is the difference...I just want the one on the picture shown.

Thanks.

riffraff I had a racing beat header two into one type like the one you had...it's a great great header. IMHO the best one for the street, but I plan to go all out N/A in my 12A to see if rx7s are still competitive in drag. I still don't want to run open header yet and I have an A/F gauge with a O2 sensor which I will be intalling in the collector and will order a EGT gauge so I need single piping for now all the way back. The way the mindtrain is made looks like a more logical approach in terms of flow than the racing beat. The bend is smoother and longer in order to make the pipe closer to the firewall the same length as the other. Look at the picture...like they say simpler is sometimes better.

if you really want to go with weight savings and have an extra $150, check out mazdamotorsports.com. they have stainless steel headers weighing 7lbs for $300.

sorry, don't know how to post a link

adssoccers do they have claimed HP gains? weight savings there I would think would be minimal from even if its more than 15 pounds saved in weight. Still it would be great to know if somebody else tried those before.

I redid the exhaust today with 2 1/2" all the way back to a Dynomax (great cheap mufflers) and kept some old beat up headers (just to at least get the feeling). I got the O2 sensor installed and started to tune a well jetted (twin adjustable mixture screws type) nikki carburator. The O2 sensor is great...I was running too rich before way off the chart. Now it's within the A/F range. I can now tune with the air screw the whole range...and YES the car seems a lot more powerfull. I have a stock engine in it still...I plan to tune this car all the way to the max keeping the stock engine...and then when the ported (either bridge or extended or both) engine is done...retune the new weber.

The idea is to get a hold of the stuff around the engine first. I already tackled the fuel system...running a Carter pump and a Holley regulator. The gauge is reading about 2.5 - 3 psi but I know it's off since it's a 15psi model...it's mechanical with the fuel isolator. So far so good.

I lightened the rear now I have no storage bins, no spare, no jack, no carpeting nor the sound deadener, got rid of powersteering. Car still has A/C though...

I ran the car today and RPMS are up there now. POwer is from 5k to about 7500k I think. The Kia sportage gears I think will do wonders too hope it works.

I'm starting to fall in love again with these cars...when I parked the car I felt like if the car was begging to be driven hard again...it's just the vibe I felt. Poor thing, feels bad since I don't drive her daily.

no, they don't post any gains, but i would assume they are up there with rb and mindtrain. they make or carry a lot of pure race parts that a lot of spec rx7 and IT guys buy. i was referred to them by a guy who has the fastest 7 (autox) in the state and probably region. they have credibility so im guessing the hp difference between them and rb and mindtrain is minimal

mperformance.. my header is actually two separate pipes. my exhaust does not collect into one until the muffler. but i do understand what you are saying.. the problem with the rb is that it ends so low, so there is not much that you can do about rasing the rest of the exhaust..
