^^^ I am the same way

I want an IDA for sure, not feeling the IDF, dont plan on going turbo on this car.

I was thinking of a Weber 48 Downdraft, Though I guess I would be open to a side draft, but I wasnt as pleased with my sidedraft Dell'orto, so I wanna stick with a downdraft.

Another fourm memeber has offered me thier tuned Weber 45 DOCE, but I dont know.

One down fall is that i have to hold the pedal down till she is warm, but i can live with that.

the idf if not an ideal carb for an all motor setup, but it works well for turbo applications.. the ida is more of a race bred carb and will outperform any of the other webers , but driveability suffers a little.. wacky is the king of ida carbs in my opinion

coz Im a cheap *** and I get a package deals for Fram filters. Actually, I have been using Fram for over 20 years and I havent seen any problems. I religiously change the oil at 3K miles. Castrol or Valvoline whichever is on sale at my bro's partshouse but hell no to Pennzoil.

PS: I got the parts in and they look great, thanks again kim!

I see that some run 48's on thier Half bridged, would a 48 be over kill for my Streetport?

Aslo Robert (680RWHP12A) What do you mean that the driveablity suffers?

What are all the cars that will work with the different intakes. I remeber seeing a tread about an off brand carb that could be used with the sidedraft intake.

So Do I, So Do I!!!

Thats the thing about carbs, you got to try them to see what you like! You can read up on them all you want, and talk to as many people about them as you want, but you cant be sure until its on your car, with your engine, on your port job, with your tuning. Get my drift.
