I think I want a weber!

I have a Sterling now, and a full set of all the jet sizes out there. Its just a pain to get to them and change. There is nothing wrong with my sterling carb, hell I love it and it works great! I know people would kill to get thier hands on one.

Part of me wants the Weber soooo bad, but then the other part of me(reason) says that why change, stick with what I got.

I think I would miss the choke/fast idle that the sterling has, so I dont have to keep the pumping the gas till its warmed up, but the ease of tuning the weber would be so much better.

What do you guys think?

If I do go with a Weber, I am hoping for a trade or at least enough to buy me the Weber set up with jets like I have for my sterling.

EDIT: Big Post 2K!

I wouldn't mind going weber either, actually. I just have to get my car running again, and to be honest with you, when it does run, I'm going to need lots... and lots... and lots of fuel. Still debating on which carb I will end up with. Its a good six month project I am planning before my car will be back up and running again... but it will be ever so worth the wait.

And dammit, Matty, you weren't supposed to beat me to 2,000! Oh well. I'm a hundred away with this post.

The IDF has a choke for 1. Makes good power and is great for turbo upgrades.

Since you asked, tune the Sterling and be done with it. In your location with the minimal seasonal changes, once it'e tuned it will be as the saying goes, 'Set it and forget it'. lol.
