Unhappy i think i my car has a dowel pin leak!

Hey.... i was noticing a small pool of oil on my engine on the front rotor housing where the 12a MAZDA is engraved or whatever... so i inspected closer and wiped it all clean.... and i saw oil slowly coming out of the front rotor housing where it meets the intermediate housing (i think thats what its called.....whatever the plate is that the front cover is on....) i dont know if i cna just tighten down the bolts holding the motor together or possibly jbweld where the oil is coming from....

does this sound like a dowel pin leak to you guys?...

ok i just helped yayo with this same thing today...but no fix yet... i have done this 4 times in the past and its never leaked again. the "correct" way to fix it is a rebuild... but you can do a fast fix that will work. I go to the boat store and get this stuff called "Marine Tex" its like JB on crack this **** will dry underwater... its BAD ****. anyway... get all the junk out of the way(hoses, wires blah blah blah) now the BEST thing is to work with a hot motor... as the stuff will cure a hell of a lot faster. get the motor warm and then get some laquar thinner and really clean the **** outa it... even a little sanding wouldnt hurt. after its all clean and dry. mix up the marine tex and apply to a area larger than the leak... making sure it gets in the crack of the front housing and plate.... to stop the leak... let it dry and then drive the **** outa it... i did this on my 79 and put 50k on it b 4 i lost a seal. I'm prob. going to help yayo do this this weekend. and marine tex is about 12$ a pack and comes in black white and gray.

I have the same leak, that puts a little puddle next to the 12A emblem on the engine.

What is actually leaking or worn out, when this happens?

And, does that JB Weld putty stuff, actually stop the leak?
