Talking I swear... I'm not a complete Idiot

My First Rx-7, and the first few experiences

Allright now peeps. Now I've been driving past this descent Looking Rx-7, by descent I mean, not a complete rustbucket, and still running! No leaks, except the oil leak near the beehive oil cooler.

So I buy it for about 600, the guy wanted a 1000 at first, I talked him down. It had a gas leak, oil leak, and was rusty. Oh, and Cruise Control didn't work.

First I tuned it up of course, changed all the basic tune up stuffs, except for the hoses, and I would soon regret that.

But after patching up the gas tank, after several trials with JB Weld, (Does this actualy work for Gas Tanks?). I get it patched up. Well it's not water tight right now, I must've gotten another hole in it... Darn old gas tanks!!!

Then there's this hot smoldering Summer day, and I'm driving it fast, of course I'm driving it fast, I just got it running a few days ago... I'm not used to looking at the oil pressure or temp gauges. but low to my surprise... When I turn a corner it overheats... The one culprit, that blasted heater hose near the oil cooler!!!

It still runs, but smokes like crazy on start-up... The Rotary Gods do not like me very much.

My first experience with an RX-7 what d'ya guys think, good/bad/what the heck was he thinking?

$600? Humm... I was thinking about letting mine go for 5. Only difference is, nothing is wrong with mine....mechanically. No rust either. Im gonna reconsider.

What does the interior look like?

And.......also today......

The stupid guy sold me the motor last year, installed the main pully not following the timing mark, and stupid me paid $25 to get told about that without getting timing adjusted.

Talking about a stupid day...

But hey, this car flys with secondary hooked up

The interior, not that bad, leather seats, still working, storage bins still in working order. The interior really wasn't in that bad of shape.

And it ran just fine, and still does, except for that leak of death that I'm living through right now.

Oh if anyone has a spare 12a Engine in Ohio let me know... I'll need one eventualy!

Yea but you live in Texas man, not much rain there. Different areas call for different pricing. Oh and supposedly this thing past E-Check. Don't see how, I've had to patch up the exauhst with a tin can, metal foil, and JB Weld. Love that stuff.
