YEEEEES!!! It is definatly a different world. The torque the 13b produces is not comparible to the 12a. I've owned 2 Fb's and the SE rules the roost. Just cant wait to "really" bring her to life

I say i love the -SE, because i just got it running,,right !
After the car had sat for 6 years, i bought it for $ 150.00 dollors. I'm the 2ed owner of this -SE the 1st owner said he had overheated it and white smoke was pouring out of the tailpipe,, so he parked it. I get the car and the regament begins,, The first thing to do is drop the fuel tank, to those who are trying to breath life into a 7 that has sat for a long time, because the gas isn't gas anymore. While the tank is out, now for the fuel pump/filter. I wasn't going to buy a 'new' pump, for the -SE's it's to much money, so i went to the junkyard and found the cleanest 2ed gen i could find and pulled the pump/filter out of it (13b)I had to modify the -SE pickup because the 2ed gens use a drop-in fuel pump.
Make sure the fuel main line and return line are clear. After that test the fuel system at the firewall, gas flows freely, your good. Now the injectors, the rubber o-rings/gromets should be replaced @ $ 17.00 dollors each injector from napa.Since ( in my case ) i did the CRC block sealer deal to make sure..... That **** works !
because of the overheating ( myth) new cap, wires, rotor, but not plugs,,,yet !! It had spark, fuel, = no start. I pull the ECU and borrow another one from Mel =
still no start. It wasn't flooding, the spark plugs were dripping wet though. So after replacing just about everything i was running out of idea's, had compression, fuel, spark, WTF,,,,over !! yesterday i think "spark plugs " At $6.00 dollors a plug for NGK's ( i didn't have enough money) so i buy,,,, I know, i know.
Autolite plugs, install those get in and without touching the gas pedel turn the key and the thing starts right up !
The temp goes to right in the middle of the guage and stays there. Of coarse i changed the oil/filter, flushed the rad. forward and backwards, installed a new thermostat 190', hose's,air cleaner elemant. The 1st owner punched out the main cat. So now i'm driving the car around, it needs to be 'fine tuned' but let me tell you
3rd gear pulls so ******* hard, ,,, it's a trip..
I would never have been able to breath life into this car without the forum and you's guys,,,,really !! So a big thank you to all, and to all a good night Lol. Now to make the car shine in and out. I'm going to keep it stock
(wheels/body and get another moonroof and hook up
and recharge the A/C.

Good to hear. I like mine too. It's a good feeling of accomplishment when you take a non running car and bring it back to life. Did the same thing with mine.

I'll be posting some pics shortly of mine and my friends FC side by side.

Go TII!

Yup, huge improvement in power. I don't know why I drove that 12a so long (15 years).

Now I can't wait till I get this TII engine swapped in, hopefully by the end of the year--almost double the power of the 12a.
