Unhappy i outgrew my car

sadly i will not stop growing. when i returned home from college i was shocked to find that i had to slouch to fit in my 84 gsl. this means that i have no chance of fitting in it with a helmet on and therefore i cannot autocross it. how much would a cheep racing seat lower it in relation to the stock seat?

just tilt the seat back. I'm 6'1" and just found a new seat position that leaves a good 3" above my helmet

if you have a sunroof... buy the glass sunroof panel.

Yeah the glass roof gives you some extra headroom...

The GSL seats are thick because of the extra adjuster. Get a non-GSL seat from the junkyard, or put in a FC seat. Or remove the adjuster (I'm going to try that on my GSL).

The diff between the GSL and the old seats is huge.

6'4" ~ 6'5" depending on how I slept the night before, here, and I fit with a helmet in my 80 without issue. Running with 2g TII seats which actually sit a bit higher than the stockers.

I'm 6'2" and my 83 is fine: good headroom and legroom, but the 85GSL is cramped. To lean the seat back far enough I have to slide the seat forward and my knees hit the wheel even worse.

6'-3" and fit in my both my sunroof and non sunroof cars quite nicely. Actually, my GS (with sunroof) has more headroom than the S (no sunroof) cause the S's headliner is sagging.

I'm 6'2" and have the seat as far back as possible, and leaned back as far as possible. This is for legroom AND head room. If I had it any less than all the way back, I'd hit my head.

I see you have an SE, exleopard... have you tried using the extra adjustment on SE seats that tilts the seat bottom itself? Once I found that, it was all too easy to fit into the car.

Install a seat that sits lower...also an option.

My friend is like 6'2" and every time I take him somewhere in the car he says "damn Japanese cars!". I guess they weren't designed with us corn fed Americans in mind, were they.
