I need rotor tip help

I'm frustrated with a new purchase - 1980 RX7. I knew it had problems with the loss of power but after getting a new carb installed, 2 sets of spark plugs and replacing 2 tanks of gas now the rotor tips lost ability to seal. Compression check when I first took it in was 120psi now it's 65-100 psi. I'm told I need a new engine. Any opinions out there? HELP?

If the car is bad flooded that can make it look like low compression.

Most everyone is getting away from the ATF trick. If the engine has been flooded, add a cap full pf motor oil down each barrel of the carb. For a longer term solution, run a can of Seafoam through the fuel tank and see if it frees up stuck seals. If that doesn't help, it may be time for a rebuild.
