I need new rotor bearings?

I need new bearings pressed into my rotors. Can I just take this to any machine shop that has a press?

Thanks, Ed

A shop should be able to do it. Take the rotors and bearings in and ask. The guys in the shop by my house turn around and walk away from me when I mention the word rotary. They did turn my flywheel though.

It's really funny how scared many people are of these engines... In my mechanics class everyone makes fun of the rotary daily. But whats really funny is how many advantages there are over a conventional piston engine.

Don't the bearings need to be pressed in to only a certain point that requires special tools to measure or anything?

New bearings need to clocked for the staking tab, that's a one shot deal sometimes. Other than that they are pressed in flush. They do need to pressed with in with an appropriate sized die, same for pressing out the old ones.

Send them to me if you are close to Vegas. I will do both for 25.00 or all 4 bearings for 40.00. I purchased all the tools from Mazdatrix and do them for all people all the time around the Southwest

The machine shop that surfaced my flywheel and did all the machine work on my MGB engine when I rebuilt it also removed and pressed in new rotor bearings for me.
