Thumbs down I need help bad!!!!

Alright guys,
Haven't posted here in awhile, but i need help!!
Last night i was trying to get her to idle a bit faster.
I didn't actually even find the damn idle speed adjuster, but that's beside the point. I also removed a wire that ran from underneath my dash into the fuse panel were it was rigged up to a fuse. i think the fuse was the one for the defogger. anyway, no my car runs like crap, or rather doesn't run at all! I can start it and then it is real choppy at idle, even at idle the engine will die after about 15 seconds. if i try to rev it i can't get above 2 grand and it is real choppy up there too. man...anyways...i'm thinking it is all about electrical problems right now. it just seems like it is misfiring and not putting out good spark. i dunno. help me guys, i'm pissed.

Josh

Did you try just reattaching the wire? Maybe someone had "band-aided" it with that, but I don't know what it could be. 82's don't have an ECU, do they? Can we assume that it ran pretty ideally before you pulled that wire? Is that the only thing you touched (think hard)?

EDIT: The only thing that pops into my head is fuel pump, but if that were so, it shouldn't run at all. Can you trace that wire? Any fancy wiring on the car (like stereo, etc.)?

The way it is running describes what happened to mine a couple of weeks ago when I replaced the rear ignitor. It wouldn't rev past 3k and had absolutely no power and lots of backfiring. Ended up being that I knocked the dizzy off a tooth

Thumbs up hmmm...

I'm thinking this problem is pure electrical crap right now.
It runs fine now and has since Saturday night. hmm...kinda off the subject but what is my best option for new carb(s)? DCD, DCOE?
thanks guys

Josh
