Mazda Australia commissioned a trial batch of 6 convertibles using the 1985 model [SA in Australia FB in North America} of which 2 were exported to the Singapore Motor Show. They were too expensive to convert and pass the traffic authorities, so the project was dropped.

The rear was kept level with the hood so its a good flowing design. With the later FC, it was made more wedge shaped to give more rigidity. The FB vert came with all the GSL equipment including air conditioning!

My thoughts are the RX-7 IS a sporst car.. Not a touring/cruising car.. The vert should never have been made..

If they wanted a touring car with a rotary, it should have been a cosmo or something else..but the FC vert does not deserve the name RX-7....

And the verts are the slowest peices of craps around. At least in japan they got a turbo version.

Yeah, I second that.
How could you have an RX-7 without it being a coupe?
