I love crazy ideas...

So I am heading down towards Toronto/Kitchener tomorrow (about 6hrs drive) and while I'm there I was planning to stop by RPM Performance and visit the guys at the shop. They do a lot of great rotary work and I try and drop by whenever I'm in the area since it's so far off the beaten path for me.

I don't have a passenger this time and I'm bringing my 7 instead of the company car since I'm on vacation and I want to show off the new swag. I was out in the backyard looking at my crappy spare 12a and was thinking "man, it would be nice if I could get this thing out of here so my folks would stop bugging me... But I don't have the socket to take the flywheel off or a space to work in"

...

*DING* the idea hit me. I'm going to a rotary shop, bring the engine! Ahhh... but I don't have room for another engine in my 7 and I don't wanna take the winter beater...

Or do I...

I present (for those who haven't seen it before), how to carry your spare 12a:

That's awesome! Can't tell from the pic but it looks like the oil pan is removed, right? I would have put a tarp or something down first, hope its clean.

As a side note what is the max weight 7's can take? I think it said on the door somewhere around 300 pounds. If so it's nice to know others ignore it, every time I take my cousin (320ish pounds) for a ride I'm scared my car will end up like Fred Flinstones!

Nope, didn't take the pan off. I put a blanket down, folded thrice for extra protection and it is one of those blankets that are made for camping with the vinyl on one side... and I propped the front end up with a brick to make it level.
