I know..ANOTHER TII swap ?

I am sooo close to being able to install my TII into my 80SA. I have tried searching and in the archive but can't find exactely what it is I need. My engine and tranny are all S5 and I need to know how to make a tranny mount for it. I found in the archives how to make one for the S4 but the mount on the tranny is differant then the S5. Does anyone know how to make one for an S5 tranny to an SA body? Pics would be great as well if anyone has any. Please help me out, this is all I have left to do.

You'll need the gslse front cover, oilpan and engine mount. For the transmission you just have to swap your tailshaft over to the other transmission.

This is how i did mine, I cut out the middle of the s5 crossmember either side of the angles and mounted it to the gearbox and the two ends i mounted to the s2 mounting holes on the chassis
Then i put the box in the car and jacked the box into position and tac welded it into place then took the car to the hotrod place near where i live and they made a new one up.

After spending $400 at the hotrod shop i found these links

http://web.aanet.com.au/arran/car/pa...ossMember.html

http://web.aanet.com.au/arran/car/projectpart1.html

u can use s2 crossmember with a s4 box minor adjustments or just put a S4 extension housing on the s5 box as shown in the first link

hope the pics help,
Cheers, Matt

So would the easiest way to do this be to get a transmission cross member from an 85 GSL SE? Would that all bolt right up?
