I has vacuum leak..Nikki carb

I got a vacuum leak in the carb that only happens when I rev it and let off the gas.
The hole in the top left of the pic starts sucking air like no tomorrow and the car starts idling at about 1500RPM. The carb has never been fully reuilt to my knowledge and has no other problems.

I just got my permit and will hopefull have it back roadworthy soon, so it needs to be rectified before I drive it much.

Please forgive for not know what all the little thingies on the Nikki do, I just need to know how to fix my leak.

Thanks, Wyatt

Sounds like a bad shutter valve. Easy solution is to disconnect the hose from the air filter box and plug it with a bolt. To fix it right Mazdatrix has a good tutorial.
