i give up, calling all rotor junkies!!!!!!!

First of all i tried to search, no luck with that. 2nd i have been in the haynes manual, 3rd i have been under and almost all over the car.

Question: i just got my 2nd 7 but this time i have a 84 gsl-se, driving home i noticed that the fuel gauge doesnt work, but it was working when i was test driving it.

Now im thinking it is the fuel sending unit but i cant find this m@#$#@$F@#@$#
Please help with this before i kill something peacefull.

Im i wrong or what/ what im i looking for and where?

The sending unit is located behind a plastic cover at the driverside rear tire.

Yea just my luck i found it, now im thinking will the one out of my 85 gs work in my 84 gsl-se.

what do you all think about that, i see no problemo.

well when you have been around since before the rotary motor was even invented, i'd hope you would know a thing or two.

i dont think the sending unit will work, the gs should onl have 2 wires where as the se has a 3 wire setup. I dunno thou, the one out of an 83 gs that is in my -se doesnt work, itl go from full to e about 3 times before i actaully run out of gas, its wierd.
