Thumbs down I get to change my clutch slave cylinder tomrrow..

So how big of a PITA is this going to be? I've never done it before (I guess I wouldn't ask this if I had lol). Any tips or tricks to this? Also what should I use for clutch fluid? Thanks

Get your 12mm socket, a swival type socket and extention. take off the flex hose off at the mounting spot on the firewall. You need a 10mm wrench and a 17mm wrench for that. Then take off the hose at the slave on put it on the new slave, re-install.

Bleeding the system can be done with someone operating the clutch pedal or using a board and wedging it between the seat and the peddle if no ones around, repeat till the air is out, add fluid as nessessary.

I have done this repair on several peoples cars, takes about 15minutes for me by myself. So probably 30-45minutes for a person who's never done it.

slave cylinder?
piece of cake ... took me like 15-20 minutes to do it. the swap itself is pretty straightforward (you know where it is, right?) i believe it was, like, two 12mm bolts. pull the line first and attach that to the new cylinder before you actually attach it to the bellhousing.

then just have someone help you bleed it ... and that should be all you need to do.

Aww man you serious! lol oh well. Napa is right down the street from me lol. And I know Napa can get me anything the next day. So I just go there usualy. The autozone is kinda far away. So Napa wins because it's close lol.

WTF DUDE?!

My clutch went out today too!

Had to mash the gears to get home. `,=o(

All the fluid is still there, but there's absolutely NO pressure at all on the clutch pedal, and it sticks to the floor now.

Tomorrow night we gotta take it out and figure it all out. Has the potential to suck ***.

And my mom has to take me to school and pick me up. `,=o(

The only driving I do for school. Is to my friends driveway and back to catch the damn yellow limo. Because I'm a sophmore my school won't give me a parking pass! How gay is that!!!! If I park without one I can't get a pass JR year. It's like $30 a semester to park your car in the lot and risk it with all the dumb highschool kids lol. I hate my school way to gay.

I got a parking ticket for parking without a pass, and I'm a senior.

It was put on in the morning, left out in the sun to bake to my windshield.

Now I have sticky **** on my windshield and I gotta take a razor to it.

How much is a parking pass at your school? Ours are $5.

If you don't have one, the second time you get a ticket you also get towed at your expense. That means if they tow it and somehow manage to **** your car up really bad, then you gotta pay for damages and towing fees.

******' bastards... It'd be just my luck that I'd leave it in 1st gear and they'd tow it from the front. Always lock your doors at school.

I said before but thats ok lol. Our parking passes are $30 or $35 a semester I think. There is two churches across from our school. And if you park at the church they tow your car. I thought church was a nice place guess I was wrong.

A SEMESTER?!?!?

Ours are for all year. We have a church across from our school, too. People can park there for like 5 minutes at a time to drop off/pick people up.

Our school likes to take advantage of us. They also have over priced every thing in the lunch room. But teachers pay less and teachers also get their own vending machines. The teacher vending machines cost less then the ones we have to use.

My clutch won't catch

Hey my clutch won't allow my car to go into gear. It tries but first gear just doesn't catch. I can't get it to go. Is this a hydraulics problem? Is it a pressure problem? Perhaps I need to replace the slave cylinder?

I need advice. A dealership will overcharge like mad for this kind of repair.

Thanks all.
