At first I thought you meant the piece between the headlights, and I thought "wow, thats gonna look stupid", lol. Personally, I think that the grooves going through that panel make the back look cool. I wouldnt want a flat piece there. Although, I sure do like yours .

haha.

Hilarious.

Although it should be M-SEC for Mechanical Secondaries.....

Unless of course you have an SE. The Mechanical Secondaries is the closest we get to the wonderful world of VTEC.

M-SEQ is a type of sequencer used to produce old skool techno. It is also a tight song by Mr. Oizo.

V-TEC has nothing to do with any RX-7...

V-TEC, or Variable Valve Timing Electronic Controlled is used on Honda engines. It changes the valve timing using different sets of lobes on the camshaft and interlocking rocker arms based on RPM, Vehicle Speed, Temperature, Engine load (MAP), Driver demand (TPS), and a number of other different sensors. The goal is to have maximum efficiency and optimal power at both low and high RPM's

Sadly, however, Ricers seem to think slapping V-TEC stickers on Non V-TEC Hondas, Minivans, Pickup trucks, Lawnmowers, and bicycles will give each of these devices the extra power of V-TEC to go faster...

This is just making fun of them...

On our RX-7's we have things that will do a similar job to V-TEC, but since we don't have valves, we have carburetor secondaries, or 6 port 13B engines... At Certain RPM's, Engine loads (Exhaust backpressure or intake Vacuum), Throttle positions, extra ports in the engine are used or the carburetor opens a 2nd set of throttle plates to add more gas. I could go deeper into it, but that's a decent enough explanation.

Actually, you're both right. V-TEC is both of those. It just depends on what kind of car you have. On a 2000 Civic Si's B16A it's the first post, but on a new Acura RSX's K20A motor, it's the second post.

Toyota has Variable Valve Timing, Lift and Ignition.

or - VVTL-i

all the new Toyota's have it pretty much.

But anyways, RX-7s rule. So who cares about Honda's? I just know that because I accidently read about it in Sport Compact Car Mag. My bad.

Dont forget that the 'i' stands for 'with inteligence' .. but then again.. who here is counting? I believe it BMW were the ones who developed variable valve timing with M Power.. I could be mistaken.

I like the grooved back myself that way the theme carries right around the back not messing up the lines.

I think it'll just make the car more personal, and kinda make it look more modern... no more of the 80's 'huge tailights' thing happening...
