I finally drove my car - kinda...

I only drove it out of a driveway into the culdesac and back into the same driveway (needed to turn it around), but still I finally drove the car! We still have a little more work to do and it will be fully drivable. I have to thank Stinkfist for all of the help he's provided us. The brakes and steering seem okay which surprised me since the car sat for a while. I still plan on flushing the system just to be on the safe side.

Mike - you da' man!

Congrats I know that EXACT feeling . I just drove mine (83 GSL) after an engine swap and clutch for the first time a while ago, and same as you, out the driveway, around the culdesac, and right back into my drive way . Also, same as you, mine had been sitting for a while (in a junk yard) before I got her, so I was surprised that the brakes worked as well as they did (at the whole 5 MPH I was going ), and the steering was really smooth (smoother than my 85 GSL) . We have three driveways, and all three go out into a culdesac that we own, it makes it real nice to take one car from the main house driveway, to the shops driveway...Especially if you want to turn around

I just drove mine to the shop to get it tuned yesterday. First time I got to drive the 84 since I bought it over a year ago. Even though it wouldnt go over 35 it was still fun.

Oh, that is a great feeling. Congrats.

I remember driving my project for the first time. Bumpy as ****, scraping, stalling, but very fun. Then I found out/realized I needed to spend about a grand more. Hmmmm, that feeling kinda hurt.
