i had the whinig sound too...chased it for years!!! everytime i went to see a mechanic about it the sound would disapear. maybe it is your car purring at you....not a great anser...but mine did thet for 4 years and no wheels ever fell off...

as for the vibration...do a little detective work...when you feel the vibration do you have alot of your accessories on...ie AC, Stereo, headlights, pushing on the brake pedal...etc. cuz that could be a cause of the vibration if your alternator is on its last legs and your coils have to struggle to ignight that fuel and some of it may be ignighting in the mannifold.

The whining while you turn I would imagine is your power steering pump. There's not much else that makes a whining while turning and I've had some scary sopunding RX7's in the past. As for the vibration, what does you Rpm sit at when it does it? are you at a stop? are you coasting or accelerating? post some specifics to get better help. Either way my experience over the years has proved that no mater what makes your motor shake so long as you engine and tranny mounts are good you will almost fell nothing at all. So obviously something is making your car vibrate and you need to figure that out but still it proves that your mounts may need some replacement.

Vibration, tires out of balance, drive shaft warped, transmission mount broken, rear end out of dope. So many different things it could be.

Well if the vibration occurs while it's not moving then obviously we can discount the possibilty of tire out of balance, rear diff out of whatever that is, and driveshaft warped which I must say I have never known anyone with that problem. How do you warp a driveshaft????????????

Hey man, If he is moving then those are the possibilities! As for a warped drive shaft, putting more of a load on it than it was ment to handle. Check around, just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I have warped 3 in my life. 2 in a truck and 1 in a car.

What the heck are you flaming up about I was speaking in a neutral tone and asking a simple and honest question. I have never warped a driveshaft or heard of that happening, I was just asking a damn question. Relax, I'm here to advise and take advise, not talk crap to anyone. I'm just hear to share my info like everyone else.

dang...all this fuss over a simple question...now you can discount the whine being from your PS pump if you dont have PS (i have owned a bunch of RX-7s and I have never has PS with any of them...so either the PPL who had them before me took off the PS pump or it was a very rare option...(GSL-SE maybe...never owned one of them)...and I did have a whine when i went around corners...and it never came to anything (i had the corner whine car for 4 years and it whined till the day I frankenstined her for my other REX)

as for the vibration...is it while stopped or moving?? im assuming while stopped...what are your electrics like...is your batt and alt old? if they are...i would start there...do your headlights dim when you step on the brake? if they do then get your *** down to the american equivilant of a canadian tire (somewhere that checks alts and batts for free) and see if that is the problem...

simple stuff first dude...then break out the wallet

I can understand the miss comunication with that. I never herd somebody call it warping befor but have herd it call torqueing or twisting the drive shaft.
