I blew it up

Well after 5 years a beatings the time bomb finally went off.... Was running 11 psi for 3 of them and last summer I upped it to 15psi. Tonight I was giving a old buddy a ride in it and when I went into 3rd she let loose. Right now she's sitting in a parking lot 40 miles from my house Tomorrow I'll go back to get it with a trailer and see what went wrong. Hope the turbo is still ok...

Got her home and pulled the turbo/manifold... No good. Apex through the turbine from the rear rotor. I was able to stick a finger in the port to feel a gouge in the rotor housing also I'll have to take pics later...

It's a shame but it's bound to happen when your running it hard. Rebuild it stronger and better.

Thanks for the support guys! Not sure what's in store for the car. First things first, crack the engine open to see how bad it is. At least now I can get those damn D port exh sleeves out of there!

If you lost a rotor you'd know it. I had to hold ~1/4 throttle while cranking just to fire it up and a easy 1/8 to keep it running with no load. The front rotor got me back to the lot.

Sorry to hear about that. What were the specs on the motor/turbo/fuel injection?
