I bet this is why my car gets hot-you think so?
When I sit for a long time my car gets hot. When I move rather quick shes ok, or cools down. I put in a new thermostat, my waterpump is good, and my radiator dosent leak or look to be in bad shape. But it still runs hot, but I forgot, I took out my P/S, so theres minus one belt, oh and my A/C, theres another belt. OH and ****, I broke one of my airpump brackets so that belt is rather loose. Hmmmm......... that leaves my Alternator belt. I think Im gonna put the A/C belt back on. Soon. Am I right?

That sounds liek a good idea. Either the belt is sliping (small contact area on pulley) or the fan clutch is bad and allowing fan to free wheel.
To check the fan clutch, warm up the motor to normal temp. Shut it off and try to move the fan blades by hand. You should feel resistance. If it just freewheels, the clutch is bad and need to be replaced.
The clutch is temp sensitive and when it warms up it "stiffens" up the clutch making the fan spin faster to cool down the motor. When it is cold it will have low resistiance and allow the fan to freewheel to reduce the air through the rad and let the car warm up.

you can remove one of the four screws that hold the fan on, and put in a longer screw that makes contact with the fan, it will spin as fast as the engines rpms,,,,like most cars that dont have clutch type fans......

Take the clutch fan off and put on an electric fan. You won't regret it and supposedly gives you a little extra hp. I've got twin 10" fans on mine. Run one for normal and both in the summer.
