HP on this setup?

how much horsepower and torque atw would u estimate an 84 gsl-se with RB header, to single main cat(with backpressure hooked up) to straightipipe to muffler. Bosch platinum plugs with the 4 things goin to the center ones.

That's easy gsl-se with exhaust mods = about 105-110hp at the wheels

how much horsepower at the engine would u guess? I heard stock was 133@ like 2700 or something and i heard that torque was 134 ft/lbs atw, what would mt ft/lbs be if anyone knows aprox. Im asking this becuas eim deciding if i really wanna put that money into it

Speed cost money, how fast can you afford to go...


one thirty something at the flywheel stock. That means all brand new seals, injectors, fuel pump and cat. Most -SE's out ther probably make a bit less now. But some could make more worn in a bit.

But none of that matters, all you can put to the ground is what you got at the wheels. Figure worn tranny and rear end bearings into the picture, (for most of our old cars anyway). figure torque about the same as HP.

Figure to get any real amount of power you will need to port the thing or bolt on a turbo. Probably cheapest to swap in a T2 motor or if you are really cheap a later NA motor will get you 160hp or so.
