Open hood, set turbo inside, close hood.
You now have a turbo first gen

There's alot of info on this, do a search, upper right corner of the forum.

If you're asking how to put one on, it's going to be quite a few months or even years until you have the knowledge. You need to understand how alot of things work in a vehicle before even attempting such a task, literally a few years worth of knowledge.

I know that i've been studying cars for 2 years and been through mechanics training at Ivy Tech state college, i'm currently helping a friend with 3-4 years knowledge and mechanics training at ISU. We're still having trouble turbocharging his car, it's running, just not right.

i installed the turbo on a volvo 240, at 13 its really not that hard, just like everything measure twice, cut once make sure you know how to use the tools and DO NOT CUT CORNERS, that will lead to you having not only a ruined engine, but a ruined turbo, also get instructions and follow them explicitly, if you have any questions, go here, the people know alot about it

I turbocharged my 12a with a blowthrough nikki when I was 17 after about 3-4 months of research. It wen't pretty smooth on the install, and ran fine.

yea, i've had my car for almost 2 years. only been researching how to turbocharge the 12a for maybe 6 -7 months? although i have been a mechanic alot longer, but i would say it's not too hard of a job. hell, it's how you learn! take everything off and just see how things fit. you'll learn as you go. get some help double checking though. there are lots of pics on this website from people that have done it, including myself and coldy13.

I recommend using some high tempature tape, then duct tape on top of that too keep that pesky turbo on, run a line from the carb into those plugs on the turbo so help it lube, and go buy a big comp cam and tape it to the turbo. Then beat yourself in the head with it.
