i bought my first fb for 650 (84 gsl) good condition
i bought my gsl-se for 500 dollars and it didnt start......fuel damper was turned off. i turned it and it fired right up....yeehaw im gonna buy my third for 600 dollars.....an 82 gs....

I bought my first /first gen for $50. (1979RX7)
20 mins later I got my current one for $175.

i paid $875 cash for my 81 automatic with 98k on the dial
it runs great.. leaks a little oil out of the pos beehive (its an 83 motor) i am soon to have it a 5-speed with gsl-se air/oil cooler.....

1500$ for mine. Seems like alot now that I see what everybody else pays for 1st gens, but it is a great car and the previous owner took very good care of her (almost everything replaced that should be replaced on a 20 year old car). Heck, she even has cold a/c and a fairly new sony CD player and speakers, and the interior is in excellent condition with all lights and switches working.
i pay $1400 for my old 85 gsl but i had to get rid of her bacuse had alot of cancer (rust) and i pay $800 for my 84 gslse that is on way better condition and i dont think im getting rid of it. i want to stay forever with her.

85 gsl had st springs, tokico blues, e-fan, rb exhaust, and was super clean, 170k on the clock tho

Bought mine for $500, very good condition. Interior was great, couple of dings on the body. '85 GS, 120k miles, 5sp, blue exterior, grey interior. Guy thought engine was blown, turned out to be the cat was completely clogged, engine would not run at all because of it. Gutted the cat, car runs GREAT.
I was suppose to pay 1000 for minefrom my soon to be wife's cousin, but only payed 900 cause I help him build a deck for his hottub which I can now use at anytime. It is a 85 GS, 5 speed, brown int/ext with 122,000. It had/still has the front header piece dented in and the pass side rear right before the taillight has a good dent. other than that, it is a great ride.
I bought mine for $2800 back in 92/93. It was pristine and well-cared for (except for a radiator problem which doomed me to my recent hell).

Well I have an SA, not an FB, and I got it FREE. It was my stepdad's sister's car. She bought it new at Holiday Olds/Mazda in San Bernardino in 1980. She parked the car in 1993 because the clutch was slipping and the throwout bearing was noisy. My stepdad hauled it up here on a trailer from Yreka, CA the very day I got called by the City of Springfield about my having too many non-running vehicles (Mazdas) on my property...
I cleaned out the tank, changed fuel pumps, swapped carbs and pulled it down the street to get it started. I've since replaced the fuel tank, replaced the clutch, T.O. bearing and pilot bearing, and rebuilt the carb, as well as installing a header and removing the rat's nest. I also replaced the cracked dash with a perfect one I got out of a junkyard for $30, and replaced the driver's side window regulator with a junkyard unit for $15. I re-blackened the sun-faded plastic interior pieces using Fiebing's leather dye. I've been driving it daily for a few months now. It's a pretty good running car, though not as fast as my RX4 was (at least in a straight line). The original motor has 160k on it and doesn't use undue quantities of oil. (A little blue puff on start up in the morning). The body is absolutely rust-free and incredibly straight, although the light blue paint is very faded from sitting in the sun for ten years. My plans for the car include a 13B conversion when the original motor finally gives up, and a GSL rearend conversion (I'm being given a GS that has a GSL rearend already installed!) I want to replace this noisy tranny as well, and paint the car the original color. Then there's my RX3 and RX4 projects... -Mike

83 LE - $250. Clutch was bad, and had a beat in LF fender. This is now my daily driver.

I paid $800 for my 82 GS. Bought it from the estate of the original owner who only put 75K miles on it in the twenty years he owned it. It hadn't been driven for years so it took quite a bit of work and another $800 to fix it up. Not bad though for a good looking, reliable and unique car to use as my daily driver.
