430/6mo. Full coverage with vandalism too. Though it would drop when I turned 25 but the ins comp changed it to when I get married i get a discount. Good thing I'm not gay. I'd never get that discount.

^^yeah i dont getthat car value crap on the tags.

im 27 maxed out liability,2 wrecks,a couple of tickets and i pay about $80 a month. it was about $50 a month until the last wreck and they havent found out about my last speeding ticket. i think im going to go with a speciality insurance for the -se and farm insurance on the 4X4.

Im in CA.
$450 a year for double basic coverage and uninsured motorist.
15 years on the road with no accident helps a lot.Plus I only get about 1 ticket every couple years,so I have no points(traffic school, heh, heh)
It also helps that the car is older and only valued at about 1500 bucks......and they dont know its turbocharged and pretty much nothing like how it was when stock.
Since the basic insurance is so cheap,Im looking into getting seperate coverage to protect the car's increased value due to engine work, custom body/paint and my 'spensive rolling stock.

$175 @ year 100/300 liability only, but I'm 51 years old. Senior discount I guess.

I'm paying ~400 a year with a 7000 mile mileage cap and carrying the minimum with tort in PA. Its my third car and isn't a daily driver plus I'm over (cough*) 40. This is thru allstate. I'm toying with the idea of getting collectors insurance thru someone like Haggerty so that its down to 200 or less. If you less than 30 and paying 1000 per year for a primary vehicle, thats not bad, could be worse, especially with the 2 tickets.

none right now! wondering though cuz the last time the car was driven on the road was back in '95. the '95 tags are still on the plates. yup, they were red stickers. anyways how much do i have to pay to register this thing since it hasn't been driven since '95?? and will it affect insurance rates?? just curious.

Shouldnt affect insurance, but since the car has been off DMV records for 10 years,I dont think the fees will be much. Most of the time when cars drop off the scope after 7-8 years, they assume them dead.Unless non-op status has been steadily maintained,in which case there are no back-fees anyhow.Usually when a car is "gone" for 10 years, they will just start from scratch with the paperwork.
You might have to send a lien request to the previous owner if the car isnt in your name yet.Its pretty much a formality, most of the time the old owner is unreachable after than long, they just want to know you tried before they register the car in your name.

I checked with Haggerty and they quoted me $160@year for full coverage, with full $5000 coverage on my 85 and no deductable. They had told me they covered cars with modifications so I was pretty excited. I had to email them about 6 pics and list modifications. It is SP with RB exhaust, Holly intake, 600 Edelbrock. After I sent them $, they called me and said they couldn't insure it because of the mods. So much for that.

$118 every 6 months, basic coverage. Oh yeah, over 50 and no wrecks.

My, 16 year old son gets the car in November and he will pay $402 for 6 months for same basic coverage.

In KC area,

think abt this- if you pay monthly payments instead of 1 lump every 6 mo. they charge you interest. they charge you &^%$^ interest because you are not pre-paying for it. its coverage you wont be getting until the date changes.

At $22 month for each car, it's not really a concern.
