BTW, shipping on my 20B was about $300.$10K is about right for a basic swap if you do most of the work and fabrication yourself. Of course, then your tires will spin, so you need competition suspension and the bigger wheels/tires and appropriate wide body kit, and then you need to re-paint the car because of the wide body kit, and then you will go too fast and need a big brake kit to slow down, and then... $$$

I agree with Evil Aviator. I am at well over 13 on my swap (13B-RE) - but doing it oh so right.., and sparing no expense. Hands dows I want the baddest streetable, daily driven capable, FB in the states (Not necessarily the fastest). That includes all the Go and Show options to me.
Between the final tuning, widebody, rims and tires, I will be close to 20 when finished.
Oh well. My choice right?
I could have done a Blow-Through Turbo for less than 3.

I thought that the road versions were out of production. Where can you get a new JC Cosmo 20B?You will also need a flare kit on the FC if you want to take full advantage of the 20B. The 20B FB would be cool, though, since it's going to be about 200lbs lighter, and I really like the FB GTO & GTU kits. I'm planning on getting zero traction on my FC until I get the IMSA kit. At least I should do well in the next Nopi burnout contest, LOL.

Yeah, my car had 13's on it, too - $65 per VR tire back in the day, woot! Considering that a stock 20B-REW made its peak torque at only 3000rpm, and maintained 90% of this torque to redline, I'm not expecting much traction with any tires that fit in the stock wheel well.

IIRC, he said they used 13B-rew housings and 1991, high-compression rotors to create a motor that, in enduro race trim, would produce 550 hp at 9000 rpm. The cost was $28,000. At the time, I thought that was high, but, compared to the $42,000 you quoted, it's a bargain.
Kurgan is swapping a 20B into an FC, and he's already 12-14k into the swap alone.... that doesn't include susp., brakes, etc. That's for the engine, Haltech, and all the custom nickel and dime **** that had to be made.
He can probably tell you better than I can though...
