how much hp to break the tires loose at a roll?

i guess it would be tourque more than hp

anyways: how much power/what kind of mods would be necessary to break the tires loose while already rolling? IE, not just popping the clutch from a stop.

just curious. thanks.

How fast are you talking about when already rolling?

I can break my tires loose at like 20-30 by revving up a little and dropping the clutch in second with new Toyo Spectrums. Hell, I can break em loose at like 40+ in third if its been raining .

TORQUE!!! something our rotaries lack a bit of. I can do that in my dad's cobra, which is a cool party trick, but I prefer to just take off like a bullet instead of sitting there spinning like in my rex.

You could probably do that with just a simple change of the rear gears. I hope to be putting in some 4.44's soon so we'll see.

I used to be able to get the wheels spinning in first when i hit 3750rpm @ approx 15kmh, in the dry with 185/70/R13 Olympic tyres and a stock 13B nikki.

I broke it loose in 4th in the rain once, back end started to come around for a second as the boost was hitting. Fun but scary.

my car dosent realy leak much oil at all. it just seams that every time i fix a leak a new one spings up.

i fixed front cover gasket leak, 2 days later: oil cooler line burst, fixt that. oil pan started to leak. fixed that, now i have oil pooling on my front pully WTF. the oil on the pully is not to much so im not going to fix it for fear that an nother leak will spring up. lol

the leaks never end.

It's already been answered: more TORQUE than a stock or slightly modified 12A or 13B can put out...

add a P-Port, Turbo, 'Charger, or perhaps N2O, then maybe, but stock port, no...

Actually, when my 13b was stock, i could floor it in 1st around 3-4k rpms (not using the clutch at all) and spin the tires, dry pavement but the weather was around 30 degrees

When I first got my car, it had a T2 engine in it and a 1st gen auto with manual shift and a 3000rpm stall. On only 9psi, I could stand on it and break the back end loose.

Now, even with the setup I have, I get very little wheel spin because a) I know how to get my car to hook up and b) I have very sticky tyres

Prior to me getting the A032Rs, the most frightening experience I had with wheel spin was late one night on my way home from HITmans place after a tuning session. I got right up it and had just punched 4th gear and the back end just drifted a tiny little bit just as I passed probably 7000rpm in 4th? I did done poop my pants! lol! Boost was around 15psi and it was about 11pm on a cool night. The car was probably putting down 450+ to the back wheels at the time?

Okay AJC, showing your eroticly attractive engine was bad enough but now your just making me depressed.

I watch videos of your car and pretend I'm driving it. Only when I'm in the car, I'm wearing a red dress and purple lipstick. My head is covered by a pink bonnet, and Kirsten Dunst is singing Rush songs from the passenger seat.

Nah, just kidding.

But woulding that be cool?
