How much could I get?
I'm having so much fun restoring my 1984 GS I'm already thinking about doing it again!
I'm certainly in no rush to sell her, but I'm wondering what the max price I could hold out for if I totally rehabed her. Custom dash and dials, new interior, new electrical, new paint, rustproof her inside and out, racing seats, killer stereo, chrome and window tint.. Performance wise, she's perfect. I need to replace a $5 gasket around the air filter, and a new radiator and new gas tank are also good ideas. I'm thinking once I'm done I take out an ad with a really high price, to keep all the looky-loos at bay, and drive her for awhile. Then when I do sell her, I look for maybe even two or three in rough shape, and then restore them.
Is $10,000 crazy high? Could I say that much and then "let" myself get talked to $7500? She's got to be worth $5k at least when I'm done, the question is whether $5k is enough to let me get set up to flip another one.
Any thoughts?

the fact is, unfortunately, that you never get what you put into these cars. a year or so ago, there was a beautifully set up S4 Turbo swap into a '82 GS (if i recall correctly) that passed emissions and was fast as *****. sold for $4,000.
if it's stock, $5,000 may be a bit optimistic.

I believe that your business model will will produce the inverse of the desired result. Rx-7's are not fixer up and sell money makers. They're like a coke habit to your wallet and to some of us just as highly addictive.

okay, I hear you guys
guess I'm just a junkie already. I only paid $600 for her, and the exhaust has been upgraded.
I've spent more on a ***** and not had nearly as much fun!
