I would recommend rebuilding the carb yourself. You don't need a lot of mechanical knowledge and it is much easier then you think. As stated by kgray, you will need the rebuild kit, haynes manual, and a nice area to lay everything out. There are many threads here about this project. I rebuilt mine and it was my first time. It can be intimidating, but just take your time, take lots of pictures, and do some research befor you start.

Good luck.

If you absolutely don't want to do it, then email Rx7carl at www.pbandjracing.com
He has Sterling do their rebuilds.

Good luck

Max $50 if it's in good condition, verified running recently. (Secondaries opening at speed, throttle linkage not bent from overzealous driving, not gummed up with sediment)

50 max? i would think it would be worth that much if it was rebuildable not if it was in running condition?

If it was recently rebuild and you trust the builder, then I'd give it more. But if it hasn't been rebuilt that you know of, then you're basically strapping a carb on that could potentially need a rebuild in the near future. I bought a running carb for a little more than that and had to buy a rebuild kit because the accelerator pump gasket broke.

The true answer is that they're worth whatever you can get people to pay for them. If I was in a hurry to get one this week and I needed it to be known running, I'd pay upwards of maybe $100 for it... but $150 shipped is really the highest I'd go.

a fully rebuilt carb will run you over $500 from napa. as the others suggested, i'd spend the $20 on the rebuild kit(as i ordered from black dragon on friday) and do it yourself. its pretty easy. suprisingly its not difficult to rebuild a nikki carb. i've rebuilt many nikki's with very good results!
