How many wrecks has your RX7 caused?

There was a thread going on a while back about how many people wanted to buy your car, well here's one on how many cars have you caused people to get in wrecks over your car.

I count TWO!

First one, coming on the way home from work, guy comes flying up beside me and runs straight into the curb and into a pole, I got out and helped him...he told the cops his gas pedal got stuck but he told me that 'he was trying to catch up to see if I knew anyone selling a car like mine'!

Number two, the other day, going down my neighborhood people always turn and stare and I always thought it was because my car was loud or whatever, nope, as I'm passing a Porsche (old one) he's staring out me and I look forward and I hear a LOUD CRUNCH and tires squealing I turned around and slammed on my brakes this guy ran straight into the back of...get this...a parked guy, the owner of that parked guy? The guy I'm going to court with on July 1st because he thought I was speeding...ROFL! This universe works its self out in wonderful ways.

My RX-7 almost caused a wreck today. I wasn't driving it, but me and another guy were trailing it on the way to autozone. We were going about 80 on a long straight country-ish road and we came to a roundabout. The 7 flew through it (of course), but the 2nd-gear-only beater Bonneville that was infront of me thought he could keep up (obviously not going to happen) and he fishtailed all over the place and almost plowed into a guy waiting to go. I got a kick out of it

lol,

I got behind a Civic Si Hatchback a few weeks ago in a real twisty turn around here and he was slipping and slidding all over the place with me right behind him, downshifted pulled in front of him and left him, all I heard was him sqealing the tires all over the road, from a dead stop he didnt leave me, but I didnt beat him, damn 5th & 6th ports.

When I first read this last night I thought "This guys either nuts or has incredible luck." But now the posts about people slipping around in corners just reminded me of one that happened to me.

There's a real long plenty curvy road close by called Honea Eqypt and when I take it in one of my sports cars I have a blast. Once in the 7 I was flying low and overtaking all traffic when able when I came around a curve to find some riced Honda and an SUV in the perfect position to maintain speed and fly by. So just as I'm coming up on the Honda he decided to pass the SUV but glanced at his mirror and jerked back in as I was going around him. He took this personal and gave chase. Fine with me I was already drifting around most corners I could see around that had room to loose it. So this goes on for about a mile of curvy two lane and I'm steadly leaving this guy. I got stuck behind a dump truck for a bit and he catches up. When we pass the dump truck I leaving him again but I can see him right in my mirror. I take a long sweeper to the left and kinda got loose but pulled it out. I looked up in my mirror once I had it good but he's gone. I'm like WTH? So I slowed and waited but the dump truck comes around the bend going really slow and looking into the woods outside the curve with a big grin on his face. I didn't go back to see how bad he had it but I did laugh a lot.

none in my 7, but i was riding in my bros civic, when wind caught his CF splitter/diffuser, it shot under our car, (on the interstate) and flew up behind us in the air, i looked back and seen 3 cars swerve out of the way, a red taraus swerved way too much, must have been a woman driver or something, cause she spun right into the wall when another car hit her, i think maybe we should have stopped.

Wow, so your shitty mechanics skills nearly killed someone, and you figure it's because it was a woman driver!?!?!?

I was driving next to a 91 celica gts in my vert and I was speeding up to get next to him, got about a car infront of him in the left lane of a 4lane road, dude cuts me off turning into a gas station I just miss his rear end, celica hits the front of dudes car and both cars just spin and crunch and everything. Both cars looked totalled, I kept going, kid in the celica was a little bitch who talked **** to everyone and the old man was old and cant drive. I guess it's kinda my fault cause he couldn't see the car and I was in the only lane he could have moved into.

hm my 7 hasn't caused any wrecks, but i was driving my gf's shitty rusty nissan sentra, 90 model... and there was a 240sx behind me... i was accelerating on the highway, and that sentra is a slug lol, so the 240 wasn't happy... the guy goes to pass me around a bend.... comes into my lane... and i literally watch this guy lose control in front of me... he hit a barrier and spun around backwards almost slamming into a tow truck... guess it was that tow truck's lucky day lol... didn't get hit and got to tow the guy off... the skid marks r still there and the barrier is still busted up from that guy... every day i drive by i remember the guy who thought his stock 240sx was so great he could be stupid in it

This is a streach, because I didnt really cause it and nobody involved was driving a 7, but what the hell.

I was crusing down the freeway in my 2000 buick century about a month ago, doing the speed limit (grandma car goes grandma speeds). I was in the center lane (3 lane) but coming up on slower traffic in the left and center lanes (just 2 cars). I checked my mirrors and all that jazz to change lanes, there was some traffic behind me but a good distance away (I would say at least 100 yards). Once I was in the right lane, about halfway past the slow car in the center lane there was another car right on my ***. I taped the brakes (very lightly, so the lights would flash) hopeing to remind this guy that hes about 12 inches from my rear bumper. This didnt do a damn thing, he stays right where he is, so I resort to the 'ol "flip the bird". I guess this really pissed him off because he turned on his brights and got closer. By this time I had passed the car in the center lane so I switched over to let this moron go by. Turns out the guy didnt want to get past me, but wanted instead to ride my *** some more because he followed me into the center lane. At this point im pretty pissed off so I give the brakes a good, solid tap (thinking if he rearends me its his fault for being 6 inches off my bumper, and I have no-fault so f*ck it). He didnt rear end me (good news), but he did get even more pissed (bad news), swerved into the right lane, then onto the shoulder and then WHAM! right into the passenger side of my car. Hitting me had knocked his car straight so he floored it (can you spell hit and run?). I floor it too, so I could get his plates (I wanted my insurance money, I had only owned the car for 2 months). It only took a second for me to read/memorise his plates, and as soon as I did, I pulled over and called the police.

Turns out the person driving the car was only 15 years old, and didnt have a license (obviously). I did end up getting the insurance money to fix the car, but ended up selling it to my parrents and letting them deal with it.

The moral of this story? Dont flip the bird... Thats what I got out of it at least...

Ive got 2
1st one, OK let me first explain how my town works, its a small town with about 4500 people in it 90% of the people drive brand new cars 2003 is typicly the oldest, and everyone also thinks that if they put cat back exhaust on there rigs that they're the fastest on the planet, and they all look down there nose at you if your driving a older vehical (like my 82 ford) and the cops dont pull over new cars only the older ones, my high school looks like a damn car lot let alone a high school parking lot

ok #1 a kid that goes to school with me drives a 4 banger 04 ranger that his mommy and daddy bought him tried racing my down a dirt road he started to fishtail over corected then hit the brakes flew into the ditch and hit the only tree within 100 yards totaled the truck and his girl friend hit her face on the dash (they make seat belts for a reason) and the next week he had a new truck and his girl friend has a ugly scar on her face not like any one could tell

#2 I pulled out of the road from my house and headed to town a 12 mile drive doing 65 in a 55 and a suberu outback started to tailgate me so close I couldn't see there head lights so I slowed down to 50 hoping that she would get pissed and pass me, no she didnt so I tapped the brakes hoping she'd get off my *** didnt so I held the gas to the floor and didnt let off till 90 and she was way back there I looked in the rear veiw mirror a few minutes later there she was even closer and by now I'm doing about 75 and pissed my friends little brother was riding with me the only thing he said is "don't do it" so I did I stood on my brakes so hard I thought something was going to brake, and turned my tires in to a ball of smoke, she swerved in to the other lane in a 2 lane highway and nailed a 90's green chevy, now I'm a nice guy until I get pissed off (which is hard to do) and I have slight anger problems, but I did turn around not to help the bitch but because there was something familor about the truck she hit. it was my older brother in my dads work truck coming back from Home Depot (there were 2x6's every where) this lady had no insurance and had her licence suspended due to DWI's, thank god for uninsured motorest coverage we got 12g's after buying the truck back from the insurance company fixed it to make it street legal and with the rest bought another work truck

The moral of This Story is don't mess with me or my family because we'll get ya some how (just kidding) at least no one got hurt except for a few scratch's and bruse's

Wow! Now you almost killed your brother! That would have been SWEET!

Here's a tip: It takes about 15 seconds to slow down, pull over to the shoulder, and let an idiot go by. THEN, they're out of your way forever, and you don't have to worry about killing yourself or someone else!

Or, if you are in the right lane, stay there, people are supposed to pass on the left. let them do that!

Back when I had the TII 2+2 I had people pull up next to me on the right at a red light to race me. You should know that the curb lane they're in is for parking and not driving. When I start reving the engine to make them earn it they go straight through the red light leaving me behind since I don't have the ***** for that game.

Fortunately, I never seen an accident because of this.

I was driving to work after lunch on a nice saturday. At a red light on a hill, I almost rolled back into some one. He beeped his horn. After the light changed, he passed, and flashed the finger out the window. I thought nothing of it. At the next intersection, he ran a red light. And got hit. The police pulled up behind me as I was getting out of my car at my company's parking lot. They said the man claimed that I was chasing him, and he was trying to get away from me.

I guess I would have thought the same thing if I was an old fart and an old sports car with a mismatched hood, loose lower valence, and faded paint was following me after I gave the finger.
