How many "If you want to sell your car..." notes have you gotten?

I've gotten two "If you want to sell your rx-7 please call..." notes left on my car...over the 8 or os years I've owned it....and it currently looks like crap (paint in June).

Just wondering if y'all get similar notes from time to time.

Right on.

I've gotten some of those. But I'm also guilty of leaving notes on clean low miles 7's myself. One interesting note I got was them explaining how they used to have one, loved it and it got stolen and been sad ever since.

I bought my car from a freinds impound lot, and had to wait 5 weeks for the paperwork to return, so I could tag the car. During this time, I showed a few people a couple of pics I had taken of the car. Most often heard comment was, "Want your money back?"
Tagged it 3 weeks ago, and I still have people ask me that same question.

The mechanic who rebuilt my carb when I turned 16 offered to buy mine since he didn't want such a beauty in the hands of a 16 year old, but I haven't had any offers in the past 5 years. There is a T2 a few blocks from my appartment that someone wrote on in a grease pen. On the window it says "Sell me your car" and has some guys phone number on it. The car has litterally been sitting in the same spot for a year without moving. I don't know why the guy doesn't just sell it. I did notice that he renewed his tags, however.

I had some guy at a gas station come up to me and asked if i would sell it, he offered me 10,000 and I said no. Most people just come up to the car and drull ....lol

I do leave a www.rx7club.com card on the windows of any 7's I see

Close to 8 years owning a first gen. and never a note. I seem to always get that one salesman at Mazda thinking you are pulling up with a trade in. I found two words to shake a salesman, "parts department".

Cute Story

I had a note put on my car not long after I bought it. I didn't respond. A few weeks later the guy at the local servo told me he had put this note on the car and had since bought a S1, 79 model.
To cut a long story short , that was almost 4 years ago. He now rents one of the rooms in my house and I count him as a dear friend,

Warm & Fuzzy eh!! Sue

that's how i bought my last two rx7's, with a note under the windshield, no-one has left me one although alot of people tell stories about how they used to have one. and if I drive one of my 7evens to work (advance auto parts) alot of people ask if I would sell it, well i just tell them it's not ready yet, but in reality if I prepare these cars to sell it is so hard for me to let them go.

I had one note when my car was gutted out ... some carpenter saw it apprently and left it on there ... he said he used to have 4 7's at one point and sold them when he got married to afford everything and now he wants one back.

Mine's sitting behind my church, near another member's house on this forum...

I was talking to him and he said, Hey, there's this FB parked behind a church near me... I wanna see if I can find the owner of and maybe buy it.

I said, Hey. It is silver with a brown fender and SEVERE toe and camber problems on the front passenger wheel?

He said yeah, I think some old guy owns it and is tired of it...

I said... Umm dude... That's mine.

*sigh*

First money... Then a place to work on it... Now I need a way to move it around and get the engine out.
