How many GSL-SE models were built?

Does anyone know how many GSL-SE's were built in '84 and '85? I've wondered about this forever, but have never come across this information anywhere.

I think it was about 5000 in 84 and about 3000-4000 in 85. I will look up theexact number when I get home. I receive my numbers from "Sports Car Color History" on the Rx7. Its a great book with lots of info and specs.
