How many gallons.........

how many gallons of antifreeze do our first gens (mine is a stock 12A) take after they are completely drained out???? I really do not know this damn simple question.......

Keep pouring water/antifreeze into the radiator fill-hole (where the cap goes) until it gets to the top. Start the car, and after it goes down a little bit, fill it back up. Then fill the fluid resevoir up.

I think that's how its done.

I use Peak. Buy one big jug, mix it 50/50 and it'll fill that **** up. I don't know haw many galons though.................

I have used right at 1 1/2 gallons after a drain. And it took a week fo driving it to get it all the way filled.

yeah. driving or at least idleing will get rid of the air pockets that WILL form. peak is good. during the summer i use 15% gycol, this additive stuff and distilled water and thats it. operating temps where about 45 degrees lower. then cold weather comes i cahnge it to 50/50, no additive.

i usally run a 70% antifreeze 20% water mix in my cars.

sometimes 50/50 doesnt always cut it up here

The Mazda Factory Service Manual specs cooling capacity at 10 quarts (2.5 gallons) with heater.
