How long do belts last? In particular, the Victoria British (non-Mazda) belts? The reason I'm asking is because when I start my car up, it makes a squeeking noise that sounds like a belt. It continues to make noise as long as the engine is on, but it's louder when the engine is initially started. How are the OEM Mazda belts and where can I get them?

 

A Mazda dealership, or look for a place that sells Gates belts, they are also very good quality.

 

OK, I've know a place that sells Gates belts. I think I'll try that first. Just to confirm my diagnosis, this DOES "sound" like a belt squeel, right?
