i have a couple stupid questions. so i just did this simmilar to the way joenoble did it. when the car shuts off i lose power brakes instantly instead of after 2 or 3 pumps. is that normal? also, when i remove the oil cap when the car is running, the car stumbles because there is obviously a vacuum leak. is that normal, or do i have the valve in backwards.

1 more dumb question. the brake booster wont suck the condensation into it will it? it seems like that could be a problem.

Those sound like pretty good questions to me. Anybody? I don't think I wouldve put it that close to the brake booster it's self. Try switching it to where it conects to the intake mani might solve your problem.

when i put this together i was kinda tired. i don't think i have enough vacuum line to reach the passenger side. i guess ill go buy some more if i have to. i have spent more money on vacuum line, fittings, and caps than anything else on the car haha.

when you "t'd" into the brake booster that close, did you keep the check valve inside the brake booster line that prevents you from losing pressure?...

it's like a mini plastic PCV valve it only flows one way and it's inside the line and should be placed back inside the new line with flow direction towards vacuum source (intake manifold).

also, i don't think i would put it that close to the booster either just in case. but the check valve should be placed before the "T"

would it benefit the engine or lower engine temp to route the breather filter somewhere where it'll get cool air? just curious.

that won't affect temperature, it's just there to keep dust out.

Ok but you can't just block it off right?

I'm gonna throw in a PCV on my FI until I can replace the borked purge valve, so here's what I want to know: purge valve has two vacuum lines and PCV valve only has one. It is my understanding that purge valve has a vacuum activated plunger that is closed at idle and prevents suction of the vapors, while PCV will always have suction.

Isn't that a problem? There must be a reason Mazda used a purge valve instead of the PCV valve... It vents the charcoal canister as well as crankcase, don't it?
