How to install aftermarket head unit in 1983 Mazda RX-7

Hello, i'm having trouble installing my Kenwood KDC-MP235 into my 1983 RX-7. i have the wiring for the Kenwood, but just having trouble finding all of the right wires. i have the wiring diagram for both Kenwood and RX-7, but just need to find out where they all are. can anyone help?

the connectors are so old that they crumble. you should run the new wires that came with the speakers and 86 the oem speaker wires.

a continuity tester is good for finding the hot wire ---->

and this is what I used for connections, it is available from Lowes---> Wire Connector 12 Position Barrier Terminal Block 13A

The wiring diagram from the factory service manual shows the location of the wires along with an image of each connector and color code. Use a multimeter to validate each wire such as 12V constant and 12V key on. Buy or make a pigtail that connects the new wiring to the factory connectors and your all set. I ran a cheapo head unit in one of mine so I just make pigtails for the speaker wires that integrated the old to the new. This way I didn't need to run speaker wires all over the car. For a better system, run new speaker wires and new speakers.
