How "I" did the FC FMOC

Everyone has there own way of doing things. I wanted to do this Front mount oil cooler instalation using the un modified FC lines. As in every FMOC install a oil pedestal is needed, I will not cover that. I am only showing how I mounted it.

This is in no way the cleanest way of doing it, but for us that dont have show cars I dont see why not.

1st picture is of the oil cooler installed from the front. I had to cut the radiator ducting near the battery to run the lines.

2nd picure is of the mount I constructed on the passenger side. I connected it to where the A/C condensor use to be. I used drywall metal with predrilled holes.

3rd picture is of the driver side, I had to bend the metal upward so the lines would clear the "frame" rails. I also had to drill out the holes where the A/C condensor use to be so I could put more sturdy bolts in.

4th picture is how the Oil lines run through the engine bay. Please dont mind the dirt! I was spilling alot of stuff with all the repairs I was doing.

I do not feel like explaining any more of it, so just ask questions.

Nice job. How is the oil pressure when you start it up cold? What is the temperature difference now with your fmoc?

yea this is a super simple way of doing it. I refused to get new lines made cause Im to lazy and I dont like trying to explain things to shops. Took me alot of different ideas to find this one though. It is super strong, I can yank on the oil cooler and it wont move a bit.

Nice job on the mounts. Looks good. I've got a 2nd gen FMOC on my 82 with custom SS braided lines. Came off the 84 parts car I had. I mounted it differently than in the 84, so my lines were a little long and the drivers side of the oil cooler sticks out further than the passenger side. I made my mounts out of angle aluminum riveted together. Worked out pretty good.
