Hey guys,

my mate has a 1982 "FB" as they call it.
Its 5spd manual, has 2" headers all the way into a muffler with a downpipe on it.

What do you think will give him a performance gain? The car runs ok and can been 4LTR ford's here in australia without a worry.........

How do you turbo this thing? its carby ( dead stock besides exhaust system).

anyone got some tips on how to make it go faster??? CAI .. how much power gain is he looking here??

well i got an 83 and what you should probably do to give it more umph and power is put a new carb and intake on it. if you want to do turbo stuff you will have to convert it, which imo is way too much, gonna cost you around 1200-1500 to get it. you could also put a supercharger on it pretty good power there. the headers he ordered will help alot, i recomend straight piping it to a silenced muffler which will be kinda loud but strong.
ignition wise, 2nd gen coils, maybe an efan, 2nd gen fuses to get rid of the fuseable links, ngk wires and spark plugs.

 

Those are long headers! what kind of down pipe is he using on the muffler?
