How do you tie your car down to a trailer?

I've been using the 2" wide straps that I got from Lowe's.

I hook the fronts onto the tow hooks and keep the straps straight. At the rear I hook onto the lower control arms and cross the straps. For autox this is easy enough. For rallyx, well sometimes it gets a little dirty under there

I'm not fond of the rear setup but the rear tow hooks are basically right on top of my trailer tie down points.

I saw this the other day. I'm not sure if attaching to the shock mounting points is good idea either.

So what's your towing setup?

You should tie the car down from the unsprung components so that the suspension doesn't bounce and stress the straps.

I purchased a set of these guys pieces, they work great, I had them custom made to go around the tires and hold each rim to the deck.

I use yellow straps like the ones pictured. I put two across the rear in an X. I secure them to the frame right in front of the rear control arm. There is a mounting point there with 2 holes and the hook on the strap fits there perfectly. Then I cross them and attach them to the back of the trailer eye bolts. On the front, I use a come along which attaches with a small strap. I wrap the strap around the round subframe brace and then use the come along to tighten to the front of the trailer. I've been doing this all season for the track.

i'd use a longer bolt and move that "I" hook to the other end with a nut. that way if it brakes for some reason, the shock is still attached.

I like the ring on the shock deal. On the rear i come under the rear axle the up over the nose of th diff out put then back under the other side. one strap, and very solid. Just use good straps and stay clear from your brake lines. (duh)

I use all 4 stock tow hooks. X the straps so the rx7 won't wander left or right ontop of the trailer. Hooking to the frame keeps the car from bouncing and moving weight around while towing. Makes for a better tow and also doesn't wear out the race shocks as much since the rx7's suspension is being kept static.

I also put a chain around the front frame tube to the trailer. That's my oh-**** chain incase the front straps give way the rx7 won't roll off the back of the trailer.

How long is your trailer? My rear bumper is almost at the back edge of the trailer.
