Ya so i do relize this may be a little off topic but i also have a question that is a lil on topic.

Anyways I'm looking into getting a the holly carb sold by racing beat for the non-ported engine. It says that I need a fuel pump that runs 6 psi @ 20 gph. That dosnt mean that if I drive for an hour I will burn through 20 gallons of gas does it? And what exactly does 6 psi @ 20 gph mean? (I dont think so but thats what my dad says that means) And it says that the carb used for that ported engine is the same but with diffrent modifacations... what are these mods? and is it something i can do when i go to port my motor?

At 6PSI it will flow 20 gallons per hour if there are no restrictions.

Your car will only use as much fuel as you let it. You will not use 20 gallons of gas an hour... Unless you floor it for the whole hour!

the carb for street port is 600cfm and the stock port is 465cfm. and before u ask, that's air flow in cubic feet per minute. 6psi @ 20 gph is how much the pump flows, not how much fuel the carb uses. check my sig, i average about 15mpg with the 600. the 600 is also jetted alot richer than the 465.
