How do I mount my Panasports?

I just received a set of Panasports that I bought from Latin270 on this board (Thanks Aldo ) but I can't get my lug wrench to fit in the mounting holes of the wheels. Do I need a special tool or do I have to buy new bolts? If so, where do I get them?

Thanks for your help.

Not familiar with the Panas, but it sounds like you bolts with a smaller head.

You need to use a socket that has a smaller OD than the lug wrench. I have the same issue with the Enkie's that I have.

Get lugnuts off a Volkswagen, they use a smaller 17mm socket. Better yet, get some "inverse" tuner style lugnuts off ebay for a Volkswagen. I have done both, the inverse lugnuts need a water resistant grease on the inside of them, because the key for them is poorly manufactured (has play in it) and likes to stick when you apply torque. The grease stopped that on mine, and kept the insides from turning orange. I used "Corrosion STOP" from Home Depot.

If one is going to use studs and nuts, use blue locktite on the studs.

I forgot to add, VW LUGBOLTS are just like the Mazda ones, just with a smaller bolt head, and a slightly longer threaded section (I forget the word for it) which work perfectly for the panasports.

NO STUDS REQUIRED!

Thanks Box Man. That's exactly the type of answer I was hoping for. Do any Volkswagen ones fit or am I looking for a certain size?

The stock bolts are 22mm though.

I think all newish volkswagens use the lugbolts. I was running aftermarket Ronals lugbolts from my dad's old Scirocco race car. My friend's 92 cabrio has the same style lugnuts, so does his girlfirend's '91 golf, and my other friend's 98 Jetta... And his dad's '97 Jetta TDi. Should be easy to find them, I think they still use them, and there are plenty of them in the junkyards.

EDIT: yes, all watercooled VWs.

Look at the length of the lock bolts and see how they compare in size. I know black dragon sells longer bolts. I'm not sure if I have the other bolts or if I sold them w/ the car. I'll check tomorrow and let you know!

These are what I'm running now, they look awesome. Or you could go to the junkyard and take some off of a VW for a couple of bucks.
