Smile How do I cap off...

I have a first gen 12A in my Triumph Spitfire race car. I need to cap off the heater hose nipple on the radiator. I don't have a heater so I just want to cap off the nipple coming out of the bottom passenger side of the radiator. Any advice?

Thank you
Bill

Shouldn't be a problem especially if you have FMOC and I don't see a beehive in the pic, so assume you must have one.

Living in the Sonoran Desert, I bypassed my heater core 10yrs ago and never looked back. I found a plastic plug the same ID as the heater bung on the radiator lower tube and JB welded it in place, making sure that it didn't impede fluid flow inside the neck. After that, I used a rubber hose end block over the fitting and a hose clamp just for good measure. Never a problem, and thats on an aftermarket KOYOrad aluminum radiator.

best solution seems to be a piece of metal (usually ends up being a bolt), in a short length of heater hose. the plugs you can buy have seams, and they will work short term, but not long term
