How to Clean the Rad Front Surface

Ok so I am looking for any input on how to clean the front of the Rad.

It is popular fuzz season around here and there is a lot of crap on my rad.

I want to clean it, but I don't know the best wa to go about it.

Is comperesed air ok, or d I want to use water?

Any input or sugestoins would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

I'd think either is okay, so long as you're pushing the junk back out the front (i.e., spraying from the engine-side)

But then again, I've never cleaned a radiator before =)

Compressed air works, sort of..... but its not very effective. The fastest and easiest wat to do it would be at a local hi pressure wash. Spray from inside the engine bay, that'll push the gunk out the way it came in.

WTF. sandblaster? OK...early 4th of july celebration.

The best one to use in cleaning is a condenser cleaner. You can buy this item from any HVACR supplyhouse. Otherwise, just use plain water. When you spray it, go as close as 1/2 inch away from the fins from the engine side is preferrable but front side is ok too. If you are too far away, you will damage the fins.

A service of a former HVACR tech/installer.

Um ok my Dad is an HVAC contractor, and neither one of us have herd of such a thing. There are various detergents and chemicals you can use, but not any kind of a device?

Dude what re you talking about?

I have used a gardon house clean lots of out door condensers. Plain old water works great.

Thanks for the feed back tho
