How can I determine the engine HP?
I recently purchased a '79 that was a project car for a magazine back in 93/94. They installed a 13B. Sometime later they sold the car and the owner blew the engine. He replaced the 13B with a 12A (sometime after 1995). So, how can I determine if its the 1979 vintage 12A with 100 bhp or a later engine with 135 bhp? The owner who made the engine swap sold the car to someone else, he he didn't know.
Also, the carb and intake were scrapped and the car now has a Haltech F5 EFI. Any idea how much additional HP the EFI generates over the standard carb setup?

As far as hourspower increase (carb vs FI), this all depends on the intake setup. FI may not net any power over a carb.
