I picked up a 1983 rx7 with the 12a about 3 weeks ago. The guy I got it from tells me that it recently had a carb rebuild but for some reason I can't pass emissions here because my Hydrocarbon output should be around 220 ppm and I'm up around 800. I tried adjusting the air/fuel screw and the idle. I've also checked the floats. There is one other screw on the front end of my carb that is right next to a sensor of some sort but adjusting it doesn't seem to change anything. If that sensor goes out, does it make that adjustment screw useless. Is there anything else that I need to be checking?
