Hot start relay

Does a 79 have t have the hot start relay?, the 4 by 4 or about that sixe box with clips for the plug wires or something conected to it.

I think its the hot start relay, im not qute sure, it has like a plug, and asingle wire runing off it.
I just need to know if this has to go back in, and if I dont ut it back in, what will happen.

when i put my new motor in i took the hot start relay off. all it does is holds the throttle open a little bit to help the engine start when its already partially warm. if you decide to leave it off, all you have to do is be the hot start assist motor yourself, put your foot on the gas a slight bit and crank it over mine starts right away evertime!

Not sure about a 79, but on mine (an 84) the hot start relay is located just behind the strut tower on the driver's side. Mine was making an obnoxious grinding noise, so I disconnected it - everything works fine.
