Hopefully Last constant redline buzz post

I posted a similar thread before, and I have read all of the related posts. I am getting the constant redline buzzer when I get in the car in the a.m. and turn the key (85). Last time I mentioned this problem... suggestions were made to disconnect the oscillator. Instead I parked in the garage (away from the morning moisture) and it went away...

Until now.

Yesterday I disconected the oscillator while it was buzzing, but that did nothing... the buzzing continued (so I drove my other car). This morning the same thing happened and I started pulling fuses, and I found the fuse that stopped the noise. Other posts on this issue say your radio goes out when you pull the right fuse... BUT...Mine worked... however all my guages except for my speedo were not working.

I recall I read something in one of the many posts on this topic that sugested disassembling the steering column and disconnecting some white wires would solve the problem (and I can fish that post out again), but rather than guessing that would solve the problem (now that I have more detail) would anyone know for sure if it will or have any other suggestions?

Thanks/

i had the same problem with th oscillater so i disconected the ground up front and it fixed it. After that i could hear a faint noise and it got annoying and i noticed it more and more and eventually found out that it was my door. i would double check all the sensors. i dunno what would cause it after that though. i also noticed when i reved my car the buzzer for the coolant would fade and then come back?!?! odd but good luck!

Are you sure it is not the low coolant warning buzzer? Darn thing drives me nuts, even though my coolant is full.
The vert started doing it too, but I found the coolant lead on that, around the radiator cap. Now it doesn't do that anymore, but the FB sure does...... Hmmmm

Later,
Bill.
