hood scoop

where would you guys think would be the best place for a functional hood scoop? Front of hood, back towards windshield, underneath with tubing running to air filter housing? If it makes a difference, the car spends most of its time driving between 55 and top speed.(i live way out in the country. its a twenty minute drive to the nearest store.) Oh, and I really don't want one of those headlight scoops cuz I think they're just plain butt ugly

i am putting these two scoops right in front of the HVAC screen behind the hood.

This, along with a sheetmetel intake shroud should get cold air to my weber kit when I get it.

I got these scoops/vents from a 280z, turbo,on the left.
and hood vents on the right,in the pic.don't know where to put them,,i think the vents on the hood somewhere
would work ok,,if placed to where it doesn't look stupid
all the pieces use bolts to mount.
