holley red mounting question

I picked up a used holley pump with no instructions.

Is it OK to mount this pump with the cylindrical portion in a horizontal orientation instead of vertical?

Thanks,
Neil

Vertical is the way to go but I've seen them mounted in horizontally position in VW bugs. Also, ditch the rubber isolator that came with it. Make your own out of beach sandals to reduce the grumbling noise. The thicker rubber, the better.

Ive got mine rigged horribly for the time being until I fabricate my skid plate/mounting bracket for it and it runs fine. The way you mount it does not matter the least...

I am mounting a Holly Red Pump also. Is the black with with wire that runs to the original the hot wire? I have everything stripped out of the engine bay, so no power to check it.

I meant to say black with white stripe, but green was all I could find in the manual. That's the way I wired it so I should be good to go. Is it a good idea to mount those with rubber bushings or solid, or does it really matter?
Thanks for the info
